About AIGA competitions
AIGA’s suite of competitions is widely recognized as the most discerning statement on design excellence today, extending a legacy that began 90 years ago. By means of the competitions, AIGA, the professional association for design, creates an authoritative chronicle of outstanding design solutions, each demonstrating the process of designing, the role of the designer and the value of design. "365: AIGA Annual Design Competitions" represent the best work across all disciplines of communication design and strategy and "50 Books/50 Covers" represents the 50 best book covers and 50 best book designs for the given year, both chosen by a jury of industry peers.
Selections join the AIGA Design Archives which exists as a search-able, online visual archive of exemplary design and a physical collection at the Denver Art Museum. AIGA will display all selected entries to each competition in two exhibitions at the AIGA National Design Center in New York, after which the show will be offered as a traveling exhibit for display across the country. Selections to both competitons are also published in a stunning annual, available for purchase in the AIGA bookstore.
AIGA is committed to finding the most effective means of bringing your work to the attention of designers and others for whom this piece is an exemplar of the craft and effect of good design. We are proud to be able to publish your work in this context. To learn more, see answers to common questions about competitions.
