由香港設計師協會舉辦的「香港設計師協會奬」，三十四年來一直是香港以至亞太地區設計精英雲集之地。香港設計師協會奬全方位包羅多個設計界別，如平面、產品、空間及新媒體。
「香港設計師協會奬」由香港設計師協會籌辦，自1975年發展至今已成為亞太地區最大型、最矚目的設計盛事，並由全球著名設計師擔任評委。其中項目 包括比賽、座談會、頒奬典禮及公開展覽。上屆的「香港設計師協會奬07」接獲多達1,700項參賽作品，來自36個地區，包括中國，日本、澳洲、馬來西 亞、新加坡、南韓、台北及香港等地。

參賽資格
「香港設計師協會亞洲設計大奬09」歡迎亞太地區的所有設計師參加。作品必須在亞太地區設計，並在2007年6月3日至2009年5月30日期間首次發表。
奬項
每一界別均設有金、銀、銅、優異奬及入選奬。另外，每一位評判都會在其負責的界別中選出他自己心目中的「評判之選」，作為對個別作品的特別嘉許。
金獎得主將獲頒贈榮譽獎座。其他獎項得主將獲頒贈榮譽證書。
評審委員會有絕對權力決定是否頒發任何獎項。
「獎項認證標誌」
金、銀、銅獎得主將另獲頒發「獎項認證標誌」，予以授權使用該印鑑作推廣其所獲獎項之用。
評審
參賽作品將由國際著名設計師評審。平面和產品作品將於六月底在香港評審，新媒體和空間作品則在網上進行評分。評委保留取消作品參賽資格或歸納作品所屬界別的最終決定權。
參賽者遞交參賽表格時，即表示同意遵守大會及評委的任何決定。
公佈結果
比賽結果將會在2009年11月30日公佈。主要奬項於當晚在香港舉行的頒奬典禮頒發。所有得奬作品將會在2009年11月30日至12月5日在香港大會堂高低座公開展出，並刊登在「香港設計師協會亞洲設計大奬09」作品集內。香港設計師協會保留入選作品的出版或公開展覽的一切權利及自由。
所有作品不得退還。部份得獎作品將納入香港文化博物館設計藏品內。

Organised by the Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA), the HKDA Awards has been a who’s who of design excellence in Hong Kong and Asia in the last 34 years. It is a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary award for professional designs in the fields of graphic, product, spatial and new media.
Originating in Hong Kong since 1975 and presided by a judging panel of globally respected design icons, the HKDA Awards has become the biggest and most important professional design competition in the region. Its programmes now include competition, seminars, awards presentation and public exhibition. The last HKDA Awards 07 received more than 1,700 entries, collected from 36 destinations in the region including Mainland China, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taipei and Hong Kong.

Eligibility
HKDA Asia Design Awards 09 is open to all designers in the Asia Pacific region. Works entirely designed in the region and first released between 3 June 2007 and 30 May 2009 are eligible for entry.
Awards
Gold, Silver, Bronze, Excellence or Merit Awards will be awarded to the selected entries of each category.As a personal recognition of outstanding entries, each judge will select one “Judges’ Choice” from all entries of his/her respective categories.
Gold winners will be awarded with trophies. Other winners will be awarded with certificates.
The judges reserve the exclusive right to decide whether any awards would be given to any entries.
Endorsement Mark
Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will receive a set of Endorsement Marks. This gives exclusive right for the winners to use the marks for the promotion of their awarded works.Judging
All entries will be judged by a panel of distinguished designers with international acclaim. The judging of graphic and product categories will be held in Hong Kong by end of June while for the new media and spatial categories, the judging will be held online during the same period.The judges reserve the exclusive right to disqualify any entries or transfer them to another category, which in their judgment, are more appropriate.
By submitting an entry form, entrants agree to abide by whatever decision made by the organizer and the judging panel.
Results Announcement
Award results will be announced on 30 November 2009. Major awards will be presented at the Award Presentation Ceremony to be held in Hong Kong on the evening of 30 November 2009. All winning entries will be showcased at the Low & High Block of the Hong Kong City Hall from 30 November to 5 December 2009 and published in the HKDA Asia Design Awards 09 catalogue.
Hong Kong Designers Association reserves all rights to exhibit and/or publicize all entries at their discretion.
No return of works. Selected entries will be included in the design collection of Hong Kong Heritage Museum.
